Thank you for your interest in The Gathering Place. We are an innovative Christian child care center that stretches the children's hearts as well as their minds. It is our desire that all children experience God's love and grows in understanding that they are unique and special in God's eyes.
Our staff members must be reliable, nurturing and committed to caring for young children. Your position is viewed as a ministry that transforms the lives of our children and families through the love of Jesus Christ.
All prospective employees of The Gathering Place must agree to a criminal records check which includes a fingerprint analysis, a reference check and a signed child abuse conviction statement. Also each employee must show proof of Ohio residency for five years. All employees must possess a high school diploma or GED and complete 15 hours of in-service training per year.
18 hours of training in the areas of communicable disease, first aid and CPR, and child abuse recognition is mandatory. To maintain The Gathering Place standard of excellence, all employees are required to have at least 15 hours of training per year. This contributes to our staff members being among the best in the market.

About Our Teachers
Our teachers are more than “facilitators of learning.” They touch the children’s hearts as well as their minds. They serve as loving guides and models to the children in the wonderful process of learning through relationship building. They strive to prepare the children with the skills, abilities, and motivation that will help them to understand, appreciate and live a Christian life in this world in which God has placed them.
Our teachers set the tone for the learning process by providing structured and unstructured activities, indoor and outdoor events, daily routines, and timely teachable moments. They provide an environment that is safe, healthy, inviting and well maintained while balancing rest and activity.
We believe that God has created each child special and unique. Our goal is to create and/or develop that uniqueness by encouraging children to express themselves through play, art, song and dance, and many other exciting activities.
