Host Ministries



Host Ministries exists to: Create captivating environments where people are
welcomed, informed and assisted in an effort to remove any distraction that
would keep them from receiving from God. Our Host Ministries Team works together to ensure that guests see that the culture at The Church at Polaris is genuine and that we are truly excited to have each guest there with us.

Time Commitment:

Sundays, once or twice a month, 9:45am - varies depending on position , special event times vary

Requirements:

attend morning meeting on your scheduled week (9:45am), desire/ability to connect with people

Positions:


Reception Team - The reception team has the opportunity to create an amazing first impression for our first time guests as well as provide a warm welcome to our members and regular attendees. A warm, sincere hello reflects that the culture at The Church at Polaris is genuine, and we are truly excited to have each guest there with us.

Guest CheckIn - Volunteers in this position should feel comfortable with a computer and able to create pleasant conversation. They will enter information on first time guests, answer questions about sign ups and upcoming events, and print name tags for members and regular attendees. If you can easily connect a face with a name, this job is for you!

Auditorium Assistant - An auditorium assistant will have a wide range of opportunities to serve such as assisting with the offering, seating, communion and security. Will also be available at Guest Services to direct anyone unfamiliar with the layout of the building or location of classes to where they need to go. They should be knowledgeable about the process used to check children into their class and able to tactfully answer any questions or concerns that naturally arise when a parent leaves a child in a new environment.

Special Events Volunteer - Ideally, this person is already involved in another volunteer position within Host Ministries and is available for regularly scheduled events and one time events throughout the year (Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Fest, Christmas decorating, potluck, etc.). Time commitment may be minimal or extensive depending on the volunteer's availability. Those interested will be put on a list and contacted as the need for extra help presents itself.
